Eddie Hall destroys journalist with the world’s heaviest phone case

With the ability to pull trucks with his bare hands and lift insane amounts of weight above his head, it comes as no major surprise that Eddie Hall is capable of holding the world’s heaviest phone case.

However, I am not a former World’s Strongest Man, and therefore crumbled when the British legend handed me the 50lbs object.

Eddie Hall is a massive gamer

In his remarkable athletic career, Eddie Hall has scaled the sporting mountain, cementing his place as the number one in his field.

Now, he’s turned his hand to a new venture, writing the next chapter of his story with major MMA fights.

But when he’s not pursuing athletic glory, he’s relaxing at home, playing video games with his son.

Growing up, Hall adored sitting in front of the screen, completing Resident Evil, Final Fantasy, Grand Theft Auto and Red Alert.

And now, even though his son deals with him quite handily when the pair go toe-to-toe, the sportsman still has a special place in his heart for gaming.

Therefore, when Clash Royale invited him out to Las Vegas, Nevada, USA, to watch UFC 306 at the Sphere and play fans at the game on the world’s heaviest phone case, he had to say, ‘Yes’.

Unfortunately, Hall’s trip to the fight capital of the world meant that I had to have a go at holding the object, consisting of high-density, heavy metal beads.

Ahead of Hall passing me the case, I oozed confidence, an air of optimism if you will, believing I had the minerals to triumphantly lift the device into the air and impress the icon sitting across from me.

Alas, reality quickly reared its ugly head. My hand crumbled under the weight of the object, forcing me to place it on my lap to avoid dropping the item on the floor.

Luckily, my embarrassment wasn’t too bad, as Hall told Sporf that most of his opponents on the streets of Vegas had failed to hold the phone case as well.

The whole idea was used as a tool to promote two of Clash Royale’s characters receiving evolutions.

While already ferocious, P.E.K.K.A and Mega Knight are now tougher than ever, as was evident as the pair battled it out in the arena during an advert broadcast at UFC 306.

Eddie Hall gives his Jon Jones vs Tom Aspinall prediction

It’s fair to say Hall thoroughly enjoyed his American adventure, revelling in the opportunity to soak up the atmosphere of a massive UFC event.

The 36-year-old is a hardcore fan of the promotion, having developed a close relationship with interim heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall.

Through extensive training sessions, Hall’s discovered exactly what the power puncher is all about.

Which has given him valuable insight into what would happen if Aspinall ever receives his opportunity to go head-to-head with Jon Jones.
