Galatasaray turns down more than £111 million for Victor Osimhen

According to Sky Sports’ Florian Plettenberg, on August 12, Galatasaray turned down a humongous offer of €130 million (£111,064,850) from Al-Hilal for Victor Osimhen.

The Saudi Pro League club approached the Turkish giants through an intermediary with a huge desire to take the Nigerian from Istanbul and bring him to Riyadh.

However, his current side refused to negotiate and has no plans to enter talks regarding the proposed transfer.

Why won’t Galatasaray sell Victor Osimhen?

The major reason why the Turkish champions have refused to part ways with Osimhen is that they believe he will play a significant role in the next stage of their ambitions.

The team, which plays at Rams Park, invested a great deal in permanently signing the natural-born goal scorer from Napoli.

In the 2025/26 campaign, he hit the back of the net an impressive 22 times. Therefore, selling him would likely have a detrimental impact on Galatasaray.

With clubs such as Trabzonspor attempting to close the gap by going above and beyond to sign Mo Salah, it’s imperative that ‘Cimbom’ ensure they do whatever it takes to stay on top.

Furthermore, Osimhen reportedly wants to remain in Europe, with playing in the Champions League said to be an extremely important factor for him.
