When Roy Jones Jr. battled it out with Enzo Maccarinelli on December 12, 2015, at the VTB Ice Palace in Moscow, Russia, fans were hoping for a competitive battle between the two faded superstars.

However, with significantly more left in the tank, the Welshman comfortably emerged from the contest with the bragging rights.

For the first three rounds, Jones Jr. managed to stay in the bout, keeping his powerful rival at bay. But in the fourth segment, everything changed. Maccarinelli detonated a thunderous blow which sent the superstar crashing towards the canvas.

Showcasing warrior spirit in abundance, Jones Jr. beat the count. Alas, he failed to block the crushing right hand that came moments afterwards, with this blow rendering him completely unconscious.

Claiming a victory over one of the best to ever do it would send most boxers into a wild celebration. However, instead, Maccarinelli exhibited class in abundance, returning to his corner, getting down on one knee, doing a sign of the cross, before waiting to see if his foe was going to be alright.

In a heartfelt moment, after waking up from the punch, Jones Jr. got back up to his feet and shared a hug with his rival.

On many occasions, the gifted competitor left his opponents in awe with his sensational athleticism.
