Haaland gives another bizarre, sweary interview after Dortmund win

Erling Haaland was on press duty for Borussia Dortmund following their 4-1 DFB Pokal final victory over RB Leipzig – and produced another brilliant interview.

The Norwegian scored twice in the game as Dortmund secured their first trophy of the season, with Jadon Sancho also scoring a brace of his own.

It has been a mixed season for Dortmund overall, with Edin Terzik’s side having been below the Champions League spots for most of the season.

But they have moved into the top four spots with two games to go after five Bundesliga victories on the bounce.

And the DFB Pokal triumph continues their forward momentum.

Haaland was the player interviewed after the game for German TV. Now, the Norwegian’s interviews aren’t always very predictable, but they are always great value.

This one was no different.

When asked for his thoughts on the match, Haaland hilariously replied with a quote that Gennaro Gattuso (watch here – with a warning of some colourful language) would have been proud of.

“The first half was good, but the second was s**t”, he said.

He let out what the reporter described as a Viking scream after his first goal, and was then questioned on it during the interview.

Haaland replied: “I’ve been in the gym a little bit more than normal lately so I felt a boost in my biceps. It felt good to get it out. It was a nice goal.”

He then added that it was “s**t without fans”.

Haaland marks his return with brace

The 20-year-old striker scored his 39th goal of the season in all competitions with his brace against Leipzig.

He marked his return to the side following almost three weeks out through injury.

In his absence, Dortmund beat their cup final opponents Leipzig in the Bundesliga and now have Champions League qualification in their own hands, should they win their remaining two games.

They travel to Mainz on Sunday before hosting Bayer Leverkusen in the final fixture of the season on May 22.
