Tillman knows all about the importance of having a tight bond with your fellow players, having developed an unbreakable friendship with Julius Peppers during his time at the Chicago Bears, with the linebacker once helping him get out of a precarious situation.

In an exclusive interview with Sporf, the 44-year-old reminisced: “I think it was Logan Mankins, some big offensive lineman, and he ended up grabbing me, and I was trying to do all my little fighting jiu-jitsu moves, and it did not work. Logan Mankins is like 6ft7, and he was like, ‘Listen here, you little s—‘ and he just grabbed me. Nothing worked on this dude.

“Then, Pep came by, and he was like, ‘Yo, my man, chill’. I was like, ‘Appreciate that Pep’. All my jiu-jitsu moves didn’t work, but Pep definitely came to my rescue that day.”
