In an exclusive interview with Sporf, he revealed: “I was looking for an Arsenal game. Then, I came across the Miami Dolphins and the New York Giants playing. It was back when Osi Umenyiora, Michael Strahan, Justin Tuck, Eli Manning and Shaun O’Hara were all playing.

“I saw the game, and at that point, I was at a crossroads in my life because I didn’t know what I was going to do, and this came out of nowhere. I didn’t know if that was what I wanted to do, but I for sure, wanted to try it to see if it was something I wanted to pursue. It turned out to be what I ended up doing, and I couldn’t love it anymore. Being able to come back and spread the game in Birmingham has been really cool for me.”

The 30-year-old enthused: “This is my third year doing a camp out here in England. I’ve always wanted to branch out and give back to more cities around England. There are not a lot of opportunities for the kids to get involved in flag football, do some drills, and gain knowledge of the sport. So, for me, it’s one of my missions to try and spread it out as much as I can.

“I want to hit as many cities as possible, it’s what I love to do. Hopefully, in the future, I can start doing multiple camps a year, because we have a lot of time in the offseason. So, I’d love to spend the offseason giving these kids something to do, and they can fall in love with this game like I have. Flag is getting bigger around the world. It will give them another thing to look forward to.”
