Jack Grealish shares two-word update on progress as he trains alone back at Manchester City

Jack Grealish has given an update on his progress at Manchester City as the start of the Premier League season looms.

Injuries have plagued the footballer’s career in recent times, with the athlete now determined to get back to his best.

With Manchester City’s pre-season underway, Jack Grealish posted photographs of himself to Instagram, smiling from ear to ear. However, he wasn’t with the main team.

Enzo Maresca welcomed players through the door at City Football Academy, with the intent of guiding the group to another successful campaign, of which Grealish hopes he can be a part of.

With his recovery going swimmingly, the athlete, who’d been training on his own, posted: “Nice to see everyone, am nearly there! Hopefully not long now till back training for good.”

Next Tuesday, ‘The Cityzens’ head off on a pre-season tour without many of their stars who’ve been playing at the World Cup.

Having Grealish in the squad could be beneficial for the manager. However, last summer, Pep Guardiola decided not to include the Englishman, instead sending him off to Everton on loan, where he performed well until injury ruined his campaign.

Maresca knows exactly what the star is capable of, having watched him produce many a tremendous performance during the side’s treble-winning campaign. Regardless, he now has to decide what role the 30-year-old could have for the team. Giving him a spot on tour, could give him a boost of confidence, but on the other hand, it may also prove to be a disastrous call if he aggravates his injury.

Regardless, Grealish is into the final year of his contract with the club after signing for an enormous £100 million back in 2021.
