Enzo Fernandez gets red card during Spain vs Argentina
From a numbers perspective, the World Cup final is undeniably the biggest event in all of sports. Therefore, it’s of paramount importance that you deliver for your country.
However, with so much on the line, it’s not uncommon for passion to get the better of the players. And this is exactly what happened to Enzo Fernandez. Having received a yellow card moments earlier, the Argentine really ought to have been on his best behaviour.

Despite a booking for dissent to his name, Fernandez simply couldn’t contain himself. The Chelsea star charged into Pau Cubarsi, sending him flying through the air before ultimately crashing towards the floor.
Of course, upon seeing the referee approaching him, Fernandez started to argue his case. Alas, it was no use. The official presented him with his second yellow card.
During the BBC Broadcast, Alan Shearer said: “Fernandez might just have cost his team massively. Already being on a yellow card for something stupid, back-chatting to the referee. When you are on a yellow, you can’t do something like that. That’s so stupid. How daft is that?”
