Justin Fields reacts to Erik Coleman praising him
Earlier today, New York Jets narrowly missed out on picking up their first victory of the season, losing 11-13 to the Denver Broncos.
Prior to the fixture, Sporf asked Erik Coleman who he expected to make the biggest impact on the game, to which he replied: “Justin Fields is starting to pick things up offensively for the Jets.”
However, following the defeat, while the 26-year-old was pleased to hear this, it wasn’t anywhere near enough to make up for the fact that his team wasn’t able to pick up the victory.
At the postgame press conference, he told Sporf: “It’s awesome. Anytime you get respect from legends like that, it’s amazing to hear it. [But] like I said, all in all, today’s game wasn’t good enough for us.”

While blessed with talent, Fields certainly hasn’t had the brilliant beginning to life with the Jets that Coleman had.
In the retired icon’s first-ever game, he went toe-to-toe with a great of the sport.
And impressively, he came out on top.
During his interview with Sporf, Coleman revealed how he got the better of Chad Johnson.
