Man United FIFA 22 player ratings “leaked” as key players get huge boost

Manchester United‘s FIFA 22 player ratings have been “leaked” by an account on Twitter.

The video posted to Twitter shows the ratings of 11 United players on Ultimate Team.

It is worth noting that the video and ratings are neither confirmed to be real FIFA 22 footage, nor have been confirmed by EA.

If the ratings are real, the most eye-catching statistic is Luke Shaw’s boost to 85 overall – an increase of four from his base FIFA 21 card.

Shaw won United’s Players’ Player of the Year award last season after consistently impressing at left-back.

He featured prominently for England at Euro 2020, contributing three assists in six appearances.

The 26-year-old scored the opening goal in the final against Italy inside just two minutes.

Elsewhere, there have also been rating boosts for defenders Harry Maguire and Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

Maguire – who started FIFA 21 as an 82 rated player – is rated at 84, whilst Wan-Bissaka has been upgraded from 83 to 84.

Scott McTominay has received a boost of three stat points to 82 after another impressive season.

Key man Bruno Fernandes has also been given an upgrade. The Portuguese midfielder, who scored 18 goals and provided 12 assists last season, has been boosted to 89 from last year’s initial rating of 87.

Paul Pogba, Marcus Rashford, Edinson Cavani and new signing Jadon Sancho have all received boosts of one point. They are rated as 87, 86, 85 and 88 respectively.

New signing Raphael Varane remains an 86-rated defender. David de Gea is the only one of the XI shown to have been reportedly given a downgrade. He has dropped one point from last season’s ratings, and is now an 85 overall.

When do EA release ratings?

EA traditionally tend to release the top 100 player ratings around late August.

Last year, these ratings were released in early September, although the game was postponed by a couple of weeks from its usual release date due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

FIFA 22 is set to be released on October 1 – the first FIFA game to be released on the newest generation consoles from day one.
