Martin Odegaard admits talking to Erling Haaland about Real Madrid

With the BVB star poised to leave Germany at the end of the season, he’s been asking his international teammate about life in Spain. Odegaard joined the La Liga giants in 2015 and failed to make it there. After several loan spells, he joined Arsenal in 2021. But that doesn’t mean that he can’t offer valuable advice about what it’s like to play for the thirteen-time European Cup winners.

During a press conference, ‘The Gunners’ star said: “We are good friends, so we talk about lots of things, like when I was there. So yeah, we talked about it, but it’s not anything special.”

But despite Haaland’s evident interest in the bright lights of the Bernabeu, according to Sportsmail, there’s another club in pole position. Manchester City is willing to pay his £63 million release clause and make him the best-paid player in the Premier League. The 21-year-old would earn a mind-blowing £500,000 a week.
