In a truly fantastic moment, Martin Odegaard left Gianluigi Donnarumma in a state of complete and utter disarray.

The match-up hadn’t exactly gone the way the Italian would have wanted anyway.

Things started to go wrong for the shotstopper from the first whistle, when Riccardo Calafiori scored for Arsenal after just 24 seconds.

Then, to make matters worse, Donnarumma made an awful mistake, allowing Kai Havertz to double his side’s lead.

With the first-half finishing with the London club in a 2-0 lead, Manchester City fans would’ve hoped that things would go significantly better in the second segment. Alas, in the 48th minute, Odegaard tricked Donnarumma with a fake shot, resulting in the goalkeeper falling to the floor, allowing the Norwegian to effortlessly put the ball into the back of the net to secure a 3-0 victory for his side.

Of course, the eye-catching moment sent fans into meltdown, with many going straight to social media to react to the goal.

One said: “Donnarumma gets absolutely sat down as Martin Odegaard puts the ball away with incredible composure,” while a second added: “Martin Odegaard destroys Gianluigi Donnarumma.”

A third wrote: “Odegaard is having the time of his life out there.” A fourth posted: “That was disgusting and disrespectful from Odegaard.”
