Martyn Ford savages The Iranian Hulk with brutal chicken wing comparison

The war of words between Martyn Ford and the Iranian Hulk continues, with the British giant comparing his bitter rival to a chicken wing.

Iranian Hulk, real name Sajad Gharibi, and Ford were due to fight at the O2 Arena in London on April 30th. However, their titanic showdown was cancelled.

Both fighters blamed the other for the postponement, which put an end to the entire event. Promoters Boxstar confirmed that they were cancelling the card in light of losing its headline fight. As a result, fans will have to wait to see former Manchester United man Patrice Evra’s boxing debut.

Despite no longer facing off in the ring, Ford and Gharibi are still doing battle on social media.

Why was the fight cancelled?

In response to a fan on Facebook, the ‘World’s Scariest Man’ stated that the titanic fight wasn’t going ahead due to mental health issues.

“Concerns on mental wellbeing and also health and safety risk involved with this matchup,” wrote Martyn Ford on the postponement.

Concerns for Iranian Hulk grew after claiming that his family had disowned him in an interview. During said interview, he also broke down in tears. In addition, according to the Mirror, Gharibi made a “wish for death.” This followed criticism he received for his actions in the pair’s first face-off in Dubai.

However, Iranian Hulk denied that he was responsible for cancelling the match. He posted a video on Youtube where he claimed that he never pulled out of the fight. In addition, Hulk blasted Ford for the fight’s collapse, labelling the Brit a “coward.”

As their online spat rages on, Ford has rubbished suggestions that he ran away from a battle with Gharibi.

Martyn Ford makes chicken wing jibe at Iranian Hulk

In their latest round of insults, Ford decided to use a culinary analogy in a post to social media.

“If I order a MASSIVE steak from a restaurant and the waiter delivers me a chicken wing, just because I’m hungry doesn’t mean I’m eating something I don’t want,” wrote the British fighter, as quoted by the Mirror. “I’ll wait for the waiter to go back and get me that steak… and I’m STILL hungry. We just need to find a different restaurant that sells REAL food.”

Alongside the “chicken wing” jibe at Iranian Hulk, Martyn Ford may also be referencing allegations against Gharibi.

The “REAL food” part may be about accusations that Iranian Hulk took steroids in the build-up to their boxing match. Gharibi has vehemently denied the claims, saying he will do a blood test to prove his innocence.

Surely, the pair will settle their feud in a boxing ring at some point. If social media is anything to go by, the bad blood between Ford and Hulk shows no sign of easing.
