According to Spor Depor’s Resat Can Ozbudak, Trabzonspor is extremely interested in securing the services of Nunez, who currently plays his football for Al-Hilal.

The journalist posted on X: “[The club] has increased its pressure regarding Darwin Nunez.”
The talented player has failed to set the world alight in the Saudi Pro League, making just 24 appearances, none of which came during February-May because he was ineligible.
Consequently, he arrived at the FIFA World Cup 2026 in North America with a lack of fitness, featuring in a Uruguay squad that disappointingly exited in the group stage of the competition.
While rumours swirled that he could make a Liverpool return, moves to either Trabzonspor or Besiktas now seem the most likely options.
