John Arne Riise says Steven Gerrard was more complete than Francesco Totti

WOW: Graeme Souness reveals the truth behind his on-air clash with Gary Neville… ‘It went silent’

In an exclusive interview with Sporf via World Cup Betting, the Norwegian explained: “When it comes to being the hero of a club, Totti is the biggest because of how he was at Roma. I’ve never experienced anybody being as big. But when it comes to football, ‘Stevie G’ was more complete because he had everything. He had the stamina, pace, power; he could score with both feet, he could shoot, head the ball, sprint. Totti was more elegant. He had vision and could score amazing goals, but he didn’t have the power, the pace, or the kind of quality Gerrard did; he had a different aura. I said Stevie G is the most complete player I played with by far, because he’s unbelievable.”

John Arne Riise bumped into his old bully at McDonald’s

During his time at Liverpool, Riise earned the hearts of the fans by playing a role in his club’s famous victory in Istanbul.

Following his achievement, the talented athlete headed home, where he bumped into someone who used to pick on him.

The 45-year-old reminisced: “It was the summer when we won the Champions League. I was in my hometown; I’d parked my car on the street, and I saw, on the other side, one of my bullies from when I was younger, and he had a McDonald’s shirt on. He obviously worked at McDonald’s, which I don’t think is a bad thing. For where I was and where he was, it was very different from when we were younger, and he was the bully. I went to his McDonald’s and ordered a Big Mac. When he saw it was me, I could see in his eyes that he knew. That was enough for me.”
