WOW: Getting the ball off Zinedine Zidane was ‘Impossible’ for one reason, says AC Milan icon

Harry Kane has scored in more consecutive Champions League matches than Steven Gerrard

The opening 45 minutes have provided drama in abundance, with both teams producing magnificent goals in a game that swang back and forth. And in addition to the thrills, there’s been a little bit of history as well, with Harry Kane creating a moment of magic.

After Willian Pacho brought down Luis Diaz inside the box, Bayern Munich were awarded a penalty, which the Englishman coolly stepped up to take. He impressively sent Matvei Safonov the wrong way to put his side into the lead.

It marked the 54th time Kane has scored this season. However, this goal had real significance. For a long time, Steven Gerrard held the record for scoring in the most amount of consecutive Champions League matches, with a grand total of five. However, his countryman can now say he’s surpassed it, with six.

Alas, while the personal milestone is undoubtedly one the 32-year-old will be delighted to have hit, he’s undeniably had some stress to deal with throughout the match.

At the 69-minute mark, PSG leads the game 5-4
