PSG and Bayern Munich break Champions League record

In the history of the competition, no other match has seen nine goals scored in a single leg of a semi-final. And the fans loved every single second of it.

The game got off to a fast start, with Harry Kane scoring from the spot. However, it didn’t take long for PSG to hit back, with Khvicha Kvaratskhelia smashing the ball into the back of the net to level the score.

Utilizing the momentum, João Neves produced an epic header, to give his side the advantage. But the visitors weren’t willing to lie down, with Michael Olise sending the ball flying past the goalkeeper to make it all square.

Despite the drama, there was still more to come before the end of the half, with Ousmane Dembele converting a penalty.

Going into the second 45 minutes, PSG hit the ground running. Kvaratskhelia put the ball past Manuel Neuer again, before Dembele also added another to his goal tally.

At this point, it looked like the result was beyond doubt, but in a credit to their fighting heart, the Bayern squad refused to give in, with Dayot Upamecano starting the comeback.

Then, despite a scare that it wouldn’t be allowed, Luis Diaz made it 5-4.

Having delivered such an exceptional match, fans can’t wait for the second leg next week.
