UFC star Nate Diaz continues to push for a fight to end 2021 – but doesn’t forget to remind the world about the strength of the Nick Diaz army.
Earlier this year Nate Diaz returned to the octagon in a losing effort against Leon Edwards. However, despite falling to a unanimous decision defeat, Diaz came within just a few more strikes of finishing Edwards in the final moments of their 25-minute war.
If anything his stock seemed to rise and then, just a few months later, his brother Nick Diaz entered the UFC cage for the first time in six years for a highly anticipated rematch with Robbie Lawler.
Nick also failed to get back in the win column but the spirit and intensity he showed just proved why these brothers are such a valued commodity in mixed martial arts.
The constant mind games of Nate Diaz
Nate, as the younger of the two, has always looked up to Nick throughout the course of their respective careers and that’ll likely continue for many years to come. Therefore, the following tweet about him being one of the greatest of all-time makes sense – but the more intriguing statement comes in the form of his Vicente Luque remarks.
I ain’t got a contract

I been said nicks the Goat ?
Diaz hints at the idea that something is wrong with Luque as he hasn’t received a contract for their heavily-rumoured welterweight showdown later this year. The proposal was for them to meet in December at UFC 269 and while that isn’t signed, sealed and delivered, the response from Luque indicates that he’s still down to make it happen.
You know I’m in from day one! I’ve never backed up from a fight and I’m not gonna start now!! We can do it when and where you want I’m ready.

Now, the ball is firmly in the UFC’s court as negotiations continue.
