Photos show Principality Stadium transformed for WWE Clash at the Castle

WWE Clash at the Castle is almost here, and those behind the premium live event have given the Principality Stadium a makeover to ensure that it is ready for the event.

On September 3, WWE will hold the biggest stadium event in the UK since SummerSlam 1992, 30 years ago.

In a monumental match-up, Drew McIntyre will challenge Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. However, this won’t be like any other defence.

This time, the champion will be entering perhaps the most hostile territory of his career against the home favourite. The ‘Tribal Chief’ will walk to the ring in front of 74,500 roaring fans, the majority of whom will be cheering on McIntyre.

However, getting the stadium prepared isn’t done by magic. There’s a humongous team working extremely hard to ensure the venue looks in tip-top condition. And it’ll have to be. After all, when you have WWE royalty all over the bill, it couldn’t be anything less.

And now, we have photographic evidence to prove that the work is officially underway.

An image taken by ‘The Wrestling Outsiders‘ shows that the ring is now up. In a mere 48 hours, Reigns, McIntyre, Bianca Belair, Bayley and co will climb through these very ropes to put on a show.

In addition, the floor seating has now been arranged for the lucky spectators who’ll be sitting within arm’s reach of the action.

Since then, new photos have been published showing the entrance ramp and set for Clash at the Castle.

WWE have also announced several events for wrestling enthusiasts to get involved with before they walk into the stadium. Firstly they’ve put together an ‘Undertaker Experience’, in which fans can take their photos in his chair and browse through his memorabilia.

Furthermore, they have a Pop-up Smyths Toys store, featuring a Life-Size WWE Wreckin Rampage Ring and WWE 2K22 Gaming Stations. Current SmackDown Women’s Champion, Liv Morgan, will also feature in a ‘Live Shopping Experience’ on Friday.
