He’s particularly looking forward to seeing how the Vikings deal with Aaron Rodgers.

Having watched the player cement his status as one of the best to ever do it, Reed knows exactly what his team is up against. However, he remains confident that they have it in the locker to get the job done.

In an exclusive interview with Sporf, he said: “Playing against Aaron Rodgers, that can be tough. He’s one of those guys from the Green Bay Packers, so he’s gonna have that love-hate for the Vikings. You can’t count a guy like that out. He’s going to play all the way down to the last minute, so the Vikings have to play down to the last minute also. You can’t count him out. The Jets, they’re doing just ok. But I can tell when they come up against the Vikings, it’s going to be a pretty good game.”

Jake Reed gives advice to the next generation at the 2024 Minnesota Vikings NFL Flag Tournament

With a desire to help the stars of the future, Reed headed down to Newcastle, UK, to watch the year seven and eight students enhance their game.

With enthusiasm for giving back to the sport, the American provided the youngsters with one fundamental piece of advice.

He said: “Every chance you get the opportunity to catch a football [take it]. Some of the kids have never touched a football ever before in their lives. Flag football is a sport you can do anywhere. Flag football is a sport you can do with your grandparents; they can throw you the football while you run a route.

“I’m older now; I don’t think I want to play basketball and run around. But I’ll most definitely sling a pass. It’s a great opportunity to build a brand and help the local community. Kids can pick up a football and go to the local park. And it’s safe, it’s not like tackle football, where you have to worry about injuries and concussion. It’s safe and a lot of fun.”
