Newcastle United manager Steve Bruce has hilariously been given a custom FIFA 22 card by EA Sports – with 99 pace.
For those who don’t already know, a FIFA player captured footage from the new game showing Newcastle players celebrating a penalty shootout win.
It begins with the winning penalty taker, Miguel Almiron, doing a knee slide on the pitch, before the entire Newcastle bench runs to celebrate with him.
The best part of the footage, though, is seen when Bruce charges full speed onto the pitch – quicker than anyone else.
The clip showing the 60-year-old’s Usain Bolt-esque sprint speed quickly went viral on Twitter. EA have responded superbly on Instagram.
They have given Bruce his own custom FIFA 22 card. Of course, it has 99 pace.
His shooting and passing stats are both below 30, with his dribbling standing at 36.
The former Manchester United centre-back is ranked at 65 for defending, with 44 physical.
Bruce does actually have a manager card in-game. It is available to buy or obtain in packs in Ultimate Team.
His in-game character can also be seen in player and manager career mode.
The Newcastle boss hasn’t yet been asked about the clip – although the Magpies do have a tough Premier League clash against Watford on Saturday.
Bruce’s side have picked up two points from their opening five matches, and sit in 18th place in the top flight.
Following Saturday’s fixture at St James’ Park, they travel to Wolves on October 2.
