The New York Jets star had a fantastic time looking back on his journey to superstardom, as he gave the next generation his words of wisdom.
Quincy Williams’ mum dragged him off the field because he had bad grades
With natural athleticism and an unrelenting will to win, the powerhouse has developed a fearsome reputation in the NFL. However, his road to the top was anything but easy, with the Alabama athlete having to put in years of hard work to reach his dream.
Growing up alongside two football-obsessed brothers, Williams couldn’t get enough of the sport. His younger years revolved around the game, with one story still standing the test of time as his most amusing.
In an exclusive interview with Sporf, he reminisced: “That was funny. It was during practice. All of a sudden, I had bad grades; my report card came out. I was going to wait until I got home to show my mom the report card, but she had already seen it. She came to practice and pulled me off the field.”
All these years later, Williams is one of the best in the business, with his brother Quinnen, and he, making history by becoming the first siblings to both get sacks in the same game and for the same team.
The linebacker even has a famous celebration that’s become very popular among New York Jets fans.
The 28-year-old chuckled: “I’m trying to get that in Madden. One day, I want the whole stadium doing an uppercut after a big play.”

During a jam-packed day, the NFL star joyfully gave advice to the participants, as the talented flag players engaged in several indoor and outdoor drills.
Williams enthused: “It’s amazing. There are a lot of people here. I came last year, and there are more people here this year, which means it’s growing. I’m very excited about that.”
