Micah Richards has revealed the reason behind Roy Keane’s anger during his debate with Jamie Redknapp over Tottenham Hotspur.
During the coverage of Spurs’ 4-0 win over Burnley, Keane claimed that Reguilon wasn’t good enough for most of England’s big clubs. Redknapp disagreed, and what ensued was a pretty heated debate between the two about their squad.
Micah Richards tells all
While we’ve all become used to seeing Roy have arguing his case bluntly from time to time, he seemed to be especially frustrated this time around.
During an episode of the Match of the Day podcast, Richards shed some light on what sparked that.
“You see the one with Jamie Redknapp recently,” said Richards.
“The story why he (Keane) was so angry is because he was driving down to London but he was late. He normally gets there an hour or an hour and a half before but he was stuck in traffic and he got there 20 minutes before going on air and you could see his hair was all ruffled, along with his suit. Jamie just got his anger because he was an hour later than he was supposed to be and he got the wrath!”
Micah Richards has been a breath of fresh air since stepping into the punditry scene. From his work chemistry with Keane to his infectious laughter, he always seems to be having a good time.
Keane meanwhile, isn’t so warming. However, Richards has no doubt managed to soften him up a little bit. He’s even on Instagram now, who saw that happening six months ago?
