He may be a Manchester City legend, but it’s becoming increasingly likely that Sergio Aguero’s time at the Etihad could be drawing to a close
Between injuries and not being selected it feels as if the Argentine is edging closer towards the exit door, leaving behind a legacy that few can come close to in the Premier League.
One things for sure, whatever the striker does decide to do come the end of the season, he’ll have plenty of options on his plate.
Barcelona – 2/1
Out with one Argentine sensation, in with another?
There’s no guarantee that Lionel Messi is going to leave this summer but if they wanted him to say, this would be one hell of a bargaining chip. Aguero knows how to succeed in LaLiga and Barca are currently the most tipped destination.
Argentine Primera Division club – 4/1
There’s no place like home.
This may not be the most attractive option for some but it’s certainly the most romantic. The former Independiente man has already accomplished so much in the beautiful game and this may be a fairytale ending to his glittering career.
Atletico Madrid – 6/1
The club who put him on the map.
Atletico Madrid spent five years helping to turn Sergio Aguero into a world-class striker. After then spending a decade in England where he was able to thrive and pick up multiple pieces of silverware, the time may have come for him to return to the league leaders.
An Aguero x Suarez frontline would certainly be something.
Juventus – 8/1
After a season of struggles, Juventus look in need of inspiration.
While Ronaldo is still racking up frankly ludicrous numbers, question marks still remain over his long-term future with The Old Lady.
Alternatively, a forward partnership of Ronaldo and Aguero is a genuinely terrifying prospect for any defender.
PSG – 10/1
Paris Saint-Germain are probably in the greatest position in terms of financial pull.
Still, while that may be true, they remain as something of an ‘outsider’ in terms of odds. Mbappe’s long-term future remains a hot topic, which could have big implications on how PSG approach the summer transfer window.
