Dom Ballard scores screamer for Bristol City
Dom Ballard has just delivered a moment that Bristol City supporters will never forget. In the 85th minute, with the match hanging in the balance at 1-1, he produced an absolutely exceptional strike.
With his back to goal, the player beautifully received a cross from Rio Cardines, before utilising his right foot to magnificently flick it past James Beadle and into the back of the net, sending the away end into raptures.
Alas, the home side hit back, with Demarai Gray scoring a 95th-minute equaliser. But while the drama of that goal should’ve been the main talking point, nothing was beating Ballard’s brilliance.
Following the match, he said: “Not just me; the performance is from everyone. Everyone played their role today and did it really well. But yeah, to score that goal, I don’t think I’ll score many better. Really, really happy.”
