Going into the clash today, Manchester United were expected to run riot against Hull. However, the Yorkshire club had other plans.

Refusing to follow the script, Hull started at a lightning pace, piling the pressure on the 3x European Cup winners.

And in the 17th minute, they got their breakthrough. Oli McBurnie came extremely close to finding the back of the net, only to be denied by a save from Senne Lammens.

However, the Belgian couldn’t keep the ball away from Semi Ajayi, who pounced like a shark to find the opener.

Following the goal, fans noticed in the replay that Harry Maguire suffered a lapse in concentration, with the defender seemingly marking Noussair Mazraoui.

Many took to social media to react, with one saying: “Harry Maguire was marking his own player Noussair Mazraoui when Hull scored their first goal. Can someone tell Harry he doesn’t play for Hull anymore?”

Another added: “Harry Maguire was holding and man-marking Mazraoui for the Hull City goal.”

After the opener, the underdogs started fighting for another.
