The brilliant exchange Spurs and Wolves fans had over Harry Kane

In the midst of their enticing Premier League clash yesterday, Tottenham and Wolves fans engaged in a pretty entertaining war of words.

The two top flight sides met at Molineux in a game that served as the unofficial “Battle of Nuno” given Espirito Santo’s previous ties to Wolverhampton Wanderers and current position as Tottenham Hotspur manager. In the end it was an early Dele Alli penalty that sealed the win and three points for Spurs, although Wolves would’ve come away from the game feeling like they should’ve earned at least a point.

One of the big stories of the day turned out to be the late introduction of Harry Kane off of the bench. The England star made his first appearance of the season as rumours continue to circulate regarding his future in North London and a potential move to reigning champions Manchester City.

Will he stay or will he go?

Tottenham supporters in the away end, many of whom have criticised Kane on social media over his handling of the situation, opted to sing “Harry Kane, he’s one of our own” when he was subbed onto the pitch. As you can tell by the following report that led to quite an amusing exchange between both sets of fans in the final stages of the match.

“The Wolves fans sing: “Harry Kane, he wants to f*** off”. Spurs supporters reply that he’s one of their own. Once he’s on, Wolves fans chant “There’s only one greedy b*****d” and “He’ll be a Manc in the morning”. The Spurs fans retort: “Harry Kane, he’s worth more than Wolves.’”

Kane wasn’t able to get on the scoresheet but did see a close range effort saved by Jose Sa with just minutes left to go in the Black Country.

Tottenham’s attention now turns to Sunday as they prepare to host PL newcomers Watford.
