Lamine Yamal made a huge amount at FIFA World Cup 2026
On a day he’ll never forget, Lamine Yamal picked up his World Cup winners’ medal after a triumphant 1-0 victory against Argentina at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, USA.
Having won the European Championships just two years prior, the gifted player is well on the way to carving out a phenomenal legacy in the sport.
Of course, these achievements come with a very healthy financial reward. For winning the World Cup, Spain received an enormous $50 million (£37.45 million).
From the figure awarded to the federation by FIFA, approximately 45% is expected to be handed out as player bonuses, equating to around $25.9 million (£19,451,806).
When divided amongst the 26-player roster, each man would take home $995,000 (£747,340). However, while this amount would be fantastic for Yamal on its own, with the superstar having sponsorship deals with many notable brands, in all likelihood, he will have emerged from the competition with an even higher amount.
