The record-breaking amount of money Luke Littler has made after winning World Matchplay Darts 2026

Luke Littler increased his bank balance again with an exceptional performance in the final of the World Matchplay Darts 2026.

The superstar mesmerised the crowd at the Winter Gardens in Blackpool, UK, en route to defeating Gerwyn Price 18-9 to lift the trophy.

Luke Littler breaks PDC Order of Merit record

At just 19, Luke Littler has already cemented his status as one of the greatest darts players of all time. Over the weekend, he incredibly broke the previous 16-year tournament record average of 106.31 set by Phil Taylor, by averaging an insane 111.04.

The achievement is utterly remarkable. And at such an early stage in his career, there’s every chance the 2x world champion could smash plenty more of the records set by the consensus GOAT of the sport.

In addition, he’s also become the first player in darts history to break the £3 million barrier in the two-year PDC Order of Merit, earning an astronomical £3,043,500, which later rose to £3,143,500 after defeating Price.

Luke Littler says winning the World Darts Matchplay 2026 was ‘tough’

With talent in abundance, Littler makes the sport of darts look almost easy.

However, as effortless as his displays appear to be, the Warrington sportsman confesses that getting up on that stage isn’t as comfortable for him as it seems.

In his post-match interview after winning the competition, he explained: “It’s been a crazy week, one of the best weeks of my life. The darts I’ve played… it’s been tough.

“The stats may look like it’s easy, but when you’re on stage and how hot it is [it isn’t easy], but I threw some of the best darts of my life.”
