Zinedine Zidane has officially taken over as the manager of France, with the superstar keen to make his country world champions once more.
With that in mind, we’re looking at five players he could use to turn his team into an unstoppable force.
Maghnes Akliouche
Despite being eligible for Algeria, Maghnes Akliouche chose to represent France. With a desire to reach the highest level of international football coursing through his veins, the Monaco star has already become an established part of the Bleus set-up. Having showcased so much talent in the early portion of his career, Akliouche might just become a player Zinedine Zidane could build the future around.
Senny Mayulu
Of all of France’s attacking midfield prospects, Senny Mayulu is one of the brightest. Having made 85 appearances for PSG, the footballer, who’s eligible to play under Zidane, has proven his skills in abundance. While just 20 years of age, with such ability on the ball, it won’t be long until he’s knocking on the door of a senior call-up.

Ethan Mbappé
When your brother is Kylian Mbappé, there’s of course going to be huge pressure on your shoulders. However, thus far into his career, Ethan Mbappé has shown he’s more than capable of thriving under that weight of expectation. The Lille midfielder has looked tremendous as he’s progressed through France’s youth ranks, and will likely earn a senior opportunity under Zidane if his development continues.
Saël Kumbedi
Saël Kumbedi has starred for France’s youth teams, notably scoring two goals in the final of the 2022 UEFA European Under-17 Championship, in a 2-1 victory against the Netherlands. Blessed with sublime athleticism and an attacking mindset, he could be everything Zidane could ever want from a right-back.
Robin Risser
Robin Risser is building a reputation for his immense ability between the sticks. The Lens goalkeeper, who’s represented France for years at youth level, is considered to be the heir to Mike Maignan’s position as the national team goalkeeper.
