The Undertaker surprises Kane with HoF announcement in emotional clip

WWE legend The Undertaker surprised on-screen brother Kane this week by announcing that he is the latest inductee into the WWE Hall of Fame.

Kane, also known as Knox County Mayor Glenn Jacobs, debuted as the iconic figure in 1997. In the 24 years since then, he’s won world titles, had great matches and established himself as a legend in the business.

But through all that time, one man who he was always intertwined with was The Undertaker.

Taker was the reason for the character of Kane being created and, ultimately, is why he’s heading into the HoF as part of the Class of 2021.

The Deadman announced the news on a recent episode of WWE’s The Bump.

“It is truly my honor to announce that you, Kane, will be the next inductee into the WWE Hall of Fame, the class of 2021.” he said. “Well deserved, much earned, and couldn’t be more proud of you, brother.”

These two men have tagged together, been on the road together and waged war against one another. Now, one of them will be a part of the history books for the rest of time.

The expectation is that Undertaker will go in next year because, well, because he’s the Undertaker.

WrestleMania 38 in 2022 will also take place in Texas, the home state of The Phenom. If that isn’t a perfect place for it to happen then we don’t know what is.

Kane, on the other hand, more than deserves this honour. He’s been the personification of a professional for years now and probably should’ve won even more titles than he actually did.

But whether you remember him as the Big Red Machine or as one half of the Brothers of Destruction, it’s just nice to know he’s being rewarded for his loyalty to the company.

Congrats, Kane!
