In an interesting turn of events, social media superstars Tommy Fury and Viddal Riley have found themselves ranked within the top 40 of the WBC.
On February 26, the brother of the world heavyweight King collided with Jake Paul in the biggest fight of the year. And despite many thinking the pressure would get to him, the Brit proved them all wrong. In a statement performance, he rose to the occasion by delivering the first loss of the cocky YouTuber’s career.
Utilising his snappy jab and elusive footwork, Fury danced his way to a comfortable decision victory to prove himself as a genuine boxer. But while the bulk of his fans are focusing on the rematch or alternative bouts with KSI and Logan Paul, the Love Island runner-up has an opportunity to push towards what he’s always wanted — a world title shot.
Prior to his contest with the ex-Disney star, WBC President, Mauricio Sulaimán, promised the winner a ranking, and he’s delivered on his claims.
Fury has jumped in at number 39, one place above KSI’s old mentor Viddal Riley.

Tommy Fury and Viddal Riley enter the WBC rankings
Throughout his career, the influencer boxing coach has exhibited all the makings of a champion. With quick hands and a sublime fighting IQ, he travelled the Earth as an amateur, winning silver at the Junior European Championships. However, despite his accolades, he finds himself below Fury.
In response, Riley tweeted: “Damn. That’s crazy.”
Furthermore, he made an interesting remark about Fury chasing his old protegee and Salt Papi.
The prospect added: “It should be me nah? After those rankings, he shouldn’t be thinking about them, man. But I get it.”
However, regardless of the news, neither man will find themselves fighting for a strap anytime soon. But if they both continue to win, then anything is possible.
