Tyson Fury put on a boxing masterclass when he faced Deontay Wilder for the second time in February, though the latter has his own opinions on what went down that night.
The pair. had been set to meet for a much-anticipated trilogy fight, however Fury has recently suggested his plans moving forward lay elsewhere, something which hasn’t gone down well with the Bronze Bomber.
Following Fury’s victory, a number of conspiracy theories had done the rounds, a lot of which centred on the fact he had supposedly tampered with his gloves. Wilder has now brought those theories back into the limelight, along with a few more explanations as to why he suffered his first defeat that night.
Wilder’s latest claim was that his water had been spiked prior to the fight. Speaking to 78SPORTSTV, he said: “About 15 minutes before going out to the fight, warming up on the mitts, it was perfect, I felt great.
“Until I went to the ring. That transformation, I was drinking certain water and stuff, trying to keep myself hydrated.”
? Deontay Wilder’s reasons for the Tyson Fury defeat (so far):

1⃣ Ring walk outfit was too heavy
2⃣ Fury moved fist down within his glove
3⃣ Fury put a heavy object in his glove
4⃣ Water was spiked with muscle relaxer
5⃣ Kenny Bayless was unfair
6⃣ Mark Breland was disloyal pic.twitter.com/ucw4QnMZox
“I just start feeling weird. My water was spiked as if I took a muscle relaxer or something like that. After a fight is over with and it don’t go in your favour you’re always looking for what happened.
“Certain things, the atmosphere just didn’t seem right. It felt like something was about to go down, and not in my favour. It wasn’t just the suit, my water was tampered with…
“This feeling here, it was a different feeling. It was like I had no control over my body, my legs was weak and stuff like that.”
‼️ WOW. Deontay Wilder has now released this video message to Tyson Fury, accusing him of cheating in their fights…

The Gypsy King wasn’t having any of it though, telling talkSPORT: “I think he has lost his marbles!
“First of all, it was the suit, then it was the bicep injury, then his trainer was on our team, then the referee was against him, then I had weights in my gloves […].
“Now someone has spiked his water […]. It’s one of those things, isn’t it?”
Fury is yet to reveal who is next opponent will be, though we’re still holding out for that elusive meeting with Joshua at some point next year.
