UFC 284: UK start time, how to watch, full card

On Saturday night, Islam Makhachev and Alexander Volkanovski collide at UFC 284 in one of the biggest fights of the year, and we’ve got all the details, including the UK start time.

The term ‘dare to be great’ gets thrown about far too regularly in fight sports. But this weekend, the Australian is attempting to do just that. In front of an adoring home crowd at the RAC Arena in Perth, the Featherweight Champion will step up a weight class in an attempt to dethrone the promotion’s terrifying Lightweight King.

In his last outing, Makhachev battered Charles Oliveria, before submitting him in the second round. The devastating performance sent shockwaves through the division, scaring everyone except Volkanovski. But regardless of the Aussie’s courage, he has an almighty task ahead of him.

Under the tutelage of the legendary Khabib Nurmagomedov, the 155-pound champ looks to have become an almost unstoppable force. With incredible grappling and outrageous physical strength, he has dismantled every opponent he’s faced since a shock loss to Adriano Martins back in 2015.

But riding the cheers of 15,500 of his own people, the underdog will look to use his superior striking and takedown defence to cause one of the biggest upsets in the history of the sport, making this a contest, fans can’t afford to miss.
