Ismaila Sarr misses open net after Thibaut Courtois mistake

In the 15th minute, exposing serious flaws in the Belgian defense, Senegal was effortlessly able to carve a hole in their rival’s backline.

The African side unleashed a cross into the box, which Thibaut Courtois came out for.

The shotstopper who’s proved himself to be one of the best on the planet, is capable of producing magic on the football pitch.

However, on this occasion, he made a complete mess of things. The 34-year-old pushed the ball right into the path of Ismaila Sarr.

The Crystal Palace star was gifted with an incredible opportunity. All he needed to do was pass the ball into an empty net. However, the talented player fell over, sending his effort into the post, leaving Courtois able to breathe a sigh of relief.

Luckily, Sarr was able to redeem himself. After Habib Diarra hit the back of the net in the 24th minute to give his side the lead, he scored himself early in the second half to double Senegal’s advantage.
