5) Luis Chavez vs Saudi Arabia

While Saudi Arabia made history with an iconic win over Argentina, they couldn’t deter the Mexicans.

From a mile out, Luis Chavez executed the perfect free kick to send the ball hurtling past a helpless, Mohammed Alowais.

4) Remo Freuler vs Serbia

With Switzerland fighting to secure a place in the last 16, they needed to make something happen. After going 1-0 down against the Serbs, they rallied and found themselves on level pegging.

In a startling move, the Swiss fought their way through the box before a beautiful back heel fell to Remo Frueler, who smashed it past the keeper.

3) Salem Al-Dawsari vs Argentina

While Lionel Messi’s men ultimately won the competition, the side’s journey was anything but smooth sailing. In a monumental upset, they lost their opening group game to Saudi Arabia, thanks to an outrageous finish from Salem Al-Dawsari.

The Middle Eastern star beat three men before firing the ball into the top right corner.

2) Paik Seung-ho vs Brazil

Despite finding themselves 4-0 down, South Korea never stopped trying to beat Brazil. And following a free-kick, the ball found itself headed towards the feet of Paik Seung-ho. The midfielder took one touch before blasting it past the keeper from long-range.

Subsequently, the Asian side used the momentum generated to make a run to the knock-out stages.

1) Richarlison vs Serbia

They say the World Cup doesn’t truly begin until Brazil grace the field, and in one second of magic, Richarlison reminded everybody why the South American side is so revered.

The 25-year-old leapt through the air and connected with Vinicius Jr’s cross to score an incredible bicycle kick.

Therefore, despite his side ultimately failing to lift the trophy, there’s no doubt that the Tottenham man can take some solace with this epic goal.
