WWE are considering the call-ups of several current NXT stars to the main roster, according to reports.
In recent weeks, we have seen a number of high-profile names from the former black and gold NXT brand return to WWE and join up with the main roster. These include Dakota Kai, Dexter Lumis and Scarlett.
However, Triple H hasn’t forgotten about the talent currently operating on NXT 2.0. During the Women’s Tag Team Championship tournament, the new WWE head of creative elected to complete the call-ups of Toxic Attraction (Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne) to the main roster, to compete in the tournament.
Despite winning their first-round match, however, Dolin suffered an injury. As a result, the team had to be withdrawn entirely.
There are other star names on the brand, too. They include current NXT Champion, Bron Breakker, NXT UK Champion, Tyler Bate, and NXT Women’s Champion, Mandy Rose. None of these names have yet been mentioned for imminent WWE main roster call-ups. However, other stars have.
Which NXT stars are likely to move to the main roster?
After being defeated in a ‘Loser Leaves NXT’ match at NXT Heatwave, Santos Escobar is set to be called up to the main roster. However, he returned on the latest 2.0 episode to collect the remainder of his Legado del Fantasma team. This suggests that all four members (Joaquin Wilde, Cruz del Toro and Elektra Lopez) will soon make their main roster debuts.
Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, meanwhile, has added that WWE are considering moving Solo Sikoa to one of their main brands. The brother of Tag Team Champions, The Usos, there have been rumours that Sikoa could join up with The Bloodline. But he has made a name for himself as a singles competitor in NXT, and WWE may decide to keep him in that role for the time being.
In addition, former NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion, Indi Hartwell, is also being considered. During the latest 2.0 episode, the Australian star was carried out of the arena by the returning Dexter Lumis, who married her in storyline before his release.
With Lumis now on Raw, it would make sense for Hartwell to follow him.
