Dana White shocked by Jake Hager injury

During his stint in WWE, Jake Hager, who was known as Jack Swagger at the time, won the world heavyweight championship and the ECW title.

In the years since, he’s fought in Bellator MMA, as well as making a return to wrestling in AEW.

Now, he’s in Power Slap, with ‘The All American-American’ recently competing against Johnny Magna during an event in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.

In the second round of the contest, Hager’s opponent detonated a ruthless slap that connected with maximum power on the powerhouse’s face.

It is thought, that during the blow, one of Magna’s fingers accidentally struck Hager’s left eye, resulting in the combat sports star clutching his face in agony, as he informed the referee of what had just occurred.

Suddenly, blood began to pour from the eye, with a doctor swiftly calling a halt to the action so that the 44-year-old could undergo emergency surgery.

Dana White couldn’t quite believe what he’d witnessed, branding it the “worst injury in Power Slap or UFC history.”

Realising the extent of the damage, he refused to let the broadcast team air a replay.
