In the early portion of the contest, the Essex boxer showcased his skills, landing snappy shots on his rival.

However, it became evident as the rounds rolled on that Brown’s power was slowly but surely beginning to take its toll.

While Hedges continued to detonate his own shots, the hometown hero’s blows began to rattle his opponent every time they landed.

In the sixth round, Brown connected with a ferocious body shot that put his opponent on the canvas.

Showcasing bravery in abundance, the underdog returned to his feet, but was quickly dropped again when a thunderous punch to the midsection rendered him unable to get up, resulting in Brown picking up a major victory.

After such an explosive display, Eddie Hearn had one opponent in mind for Pat Brown.

When asked what’s next for his fighter, the promoter told DAZN: “I wanna stick him in there and see him spark Jai Opetaia out at Old Trafford. That’s what I want. That’s to come.”
