EXCLUSIVE: Eddie Hall has his sights set on three of the biggest names in combat sports.
Tomorrow night, ‘The Beast’ will go to war with Tommy Fury inside the AO Arena in Manchester, UK, on a stacked Misfits card.
Eddie Hall wants Tyson Fury, Jake Paul and Logan Paul
While Eddie Hall is relishing the prospect of setting foot in the boxing ring on Saturday evening, he hasn’t lost track of his ambitions in MMA, with the powerhouse adamant that a showdown with ‘The Gypsy King’ inside the cage would be a very interesting match-up.
In an exclusive interview with Sporf, Hall enthused: “I would absolutely love that. We’ve seen Tyson Fury come back time and time again and dominate boxing. It’s always been close; even when he’s lost, he’s done really well; we know what he’s capable of. I’ve seen some footage of him in Thailand, throwing leg kicks, and I was like, ‘Maybe he’s a bit interested’. So, I threw the feelers out, which is why this fight came about—John Fury got his back up and gave me Tommy. I think a clash with Tyson in MMA would be very interesting. In boxing, he would absolutely decimate me; there’s no question about that, but put us in a cage where I’m able to put him on the floor, I think that evens it out.”
In his career, the 2017 World’s Strongest Man has always showcased a desire to push the boundaries. And, exhibiting that trait once again, the icon has expressed an interest in battling it out with both Jake Paul and Logan Paul at the same time.
Hall beamed: “In MMA, I think I’d mess them both up. I just know I’ve got that capability to get someone down, move their arms out of the way, and just smash them in the face. Once I’ve done that, I’ll move on to the other one. Me vs the Paul brothers in MMA, I’m mad keen.”
Eddie Hall says Tommy Fury is in for a shock
While Hall has some potentially exciting match-ups around the corner, he first has to get through his opponent this weekend.
While at a significant disadvantage when it comes to experience inside the squared circle, the 38-year-old believes his rival will have little to no answer for his explosive power.
Hall explained: “I think he’s in for a shock. He keeps saying he’s sparred with bigger guys, such as Tyson Fury. But I don’t think he’s experienced someone as big and strong as me yet.
“100% If I hit any human being on the chin, they’re going to sleep. But it’s lining that shot up that’s going to be the task.”
