‘Anthony Taylor wanted out’… Boxer slammed by fans after post-fight riot with Matty Floyd

Anthony Taylor has received massive backlash after his reaction following his fight with Matty Floyd.

The former mixed martial artist had seemingly lost every round before claiming he was injured.

Anthony Taylor vs Matty Floyd served as the co-main event to Tommy Fury vs Eddie Hall at the AO Arena in Manchester, UK.

From the opening round, the Australian dominated proceedings, landing monstrous shots, leaving his rival noticeably uncomfortable.

While Taylor, tried his heart out, he appeared unable to solve the complex problem in front of him, with ‘The Jedi’ finding success with his left hook and right uppercut.

After building what appeared to be a 4-0 win on the cards, Floyd began searching for the stoppage that would’ve earned him the Misfits Boxing light heavyweight championship.

The Aussie bundled his rival into the corner and began connecting with concussive blows that sent the former Bellator fighter crumbling towards the canvas.

At this point, Taylor began complaining of an eye injury, and following a conversation with the doctor, the referee waved off the contest.

Taylor, who’d been hitting the canvas, then sprinted across the ring and appeared to hurl a punch at Floyd.

Then, much to the outrage of the crowd, the decision was announced as a No-Contest, as opposed to a victory for the man who’d cruised through the fight.

Showcasing their opinions on the matter, the crowd jeered Taylor, and cheered loudly for Floyd throughout his post-fight interview.

Of course, fans took to social media to voice their opinions.

One said: “This is embarrassing,” while another posted: “You robbed a man of a win because another man had an episode.”

A third claimed: “Taylor wanted out.” A fourth fumed: “He says his eyes are burning, yet he rushes at his opponent.”
