Auden Larratt is more than aware that his father is nothing short of brilliant, making the task of reaching the heights he has in arm wrestling an extremely difficult mountain to climb. However, with a passion for the sport coursing through his veins, the exciting up-and-comer is going to give everything in his power into becoming a world champion himself.

In an exclusive interview with Sporf, he explained: “It’ll be difficult to replicate the level of commitment that my dad has shown to this sport. I’m going to do my best, I really will, but it’s very big shoes to fill. A lot of people try to become like their dad. For me, that’s very difficult to do because he’s achieved so much in the sport. I’m here for the long run. I started younger than he did. I’m going to try for sure.”

Like his father, Larratt has no issue with engaging in a war of words, with the future star admitting he’s trying to get into his opponent’s head.

The son of the legend claimed: “Jeremy Parker is a good guy, but I’m putting the pressure on him, make him feel it, and tomorrow he’s going to have all these people in the audience, so I’m really trying to spin off that and make him start to doubt himself and think, ‘If I lose in front of all of these people, it’s going to be terrible’, which it will. So, he better not lose.”

When asked if he thinks he got into his rival’s head, Larratt replied: “I do. When we did our face-off, he was bouncing a little bit, so he’s definitely a bit nervous. I’m confident he won’t sleep well tonight.”
