After his spectacular victory over Vitaly Laletin, Devon Larratt has earned another opportunity to battle it out with Levan Saginashvili for East vs West Armwrestling global supremacy. WOW: Auden Larratt opens up about whether he can replicate his dad’s achievements ahead of East vs West Armwrestling 24

During an exclusive interview with Sporf, he explained: “I think Levan is the long-term target. I believe it might be quite some time, and I’m not in a rush. I think it’s really best that we set it up perfectly because in life, would you rather hit a million triples or one home run? It’s about that home run, that perfect match, that perfect victory. Levan represents the biggest target, the biggest win. I’m honing my life for the next attempt at that. There may be matches along the way, but that’s what they are, along the way.”

Devon Larratt says Auden Larratt is going to do big things in East vs West Armwrestling

In his legendary career, Larratt has cemented his status as an icon of the sport, not just through his remarkable displays at the table, but also his skills on the microphone, with the 50-year-old capable of annihilating his opponents in the mental warfare department.

And it appears his son has inherited more than his arm wrestling ability, with the prospect refusing to back down from firing shots at Jeremy Parker during the press conference.

The superstar explained: “Auden has been marinated in arm wrestling, our style of arm wrestling, the Larratt family, Ottawa High Hookers. He has just grown up in it. I think he understands the subtle way of using your voice and your mind as a weapon to compound the strength in his hands. I love to watch Auden arm wrestle; every event, he gets better. He’s becoming more of a champion every single day, and it’s his first event at East vs West, and we’re all super honoured that he’s on the stage. It’s a tough test for him.

When asked whether his son can replicate his achievements, the powerhouse replied: “Yes, of course, he’s better at 21 than I was. Technically, he’s immeasurably ahead, and from a physical perspective, he’s more developed as well. He’s doing wonderfully. The issue is, the sport that he’s stepping into is way harder than the one that I stepped into, so it’s relative. We are only capped in life by our love and perseverance, and he loves arm wrestling. Auden is not arm wrestling because of anything else other than his own personal love for the sport. He can do anything he wants.”
