The Portuguese sensation was rendered devastated by his error during his side’s clash against AC Milan at the Tarczynski Arena in Wroclaw, Poland.

With that in mind, the midfielder would’ve loved to have redeemed himself against AC Milan today. Alas, it wasn’t meant to be.

The Premier League giants hit the ground running, with Harry Maguire utilising his head to give his team the lead after just two minutes.

However, the Italian side didn’t lose faith, with Samuel Chukwueze taking advantage of poor defending to find the equaliser.

Sadly for AC Milan, it didn’t look like their lead would last for long, when United secured a penalty kick.

Stepping up to the spot, Fernandes looked all set to put his team back into the lead. But that turned out not to be the case, as Lorenzo Torriani dived the right way, saving the effort.

Of course, fans were quick to head to social media to voice their displeasure.
