Marcus Rashford has received a massive vote of confidence from Manchester United.

While his future has been up in the air througout the summer transfer window, it now appears likely that the striker will remain at Old Trafford.

After a summer playing for England at the FIFA World Cup 2026, Marcus Rashford has rejoined his teammates in Ireland ahead of a pre-season showdown against Leeds United.

Last year, the natural-born goal scorer spent his time at Barcelona, where he scored 14 goals.

Having fallen out of favour with his boyhood club, Rashford revelled in rediscovering his form, and thus, when the campaign came to an end, he felt a strong desire to continue playing his football in Spain.

However, despite his hopes, it now appears that the 28-year-old will return to the Premier League, with Manchester United now exhibiting its trust in him by giving the player a brand-new squad number.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Rashford will wear the number 14 shirt in the 2026/27 campaign.
