Cole Palmer has received criticism from a former Liverpool player for his behaviour in a restaurant.
The Chelsea star wasn’t selected by Thomas Tuchel to play at the FIFA World Cup 2026.

When Cole Palmer didn’t make the cut for ‘The Three Lions’ to play in the biggest tournament in all of the sport, many understandably questioned the call. And now England have crashed out in the semi-finals, having thrown away a lead against Argentina, some are wondering whether the midfielder would’ve made an all-important difference.
When asked if he’d have picked the star by John Terry during an episode of Sports Uncensored, Graeme Souness conceded he would have, but added that from personal experience, there could have been mitigating circumstances for why the 24-year-old didn’t make it.
The Scottish hero said: “I think he’s outstanding, yes. I don’t know what his character is. I got a little insight into that in Dubai in February, where he was extremely rude to someone in a restaurant.”

The decision not to bring Palmer to North America sent shockwaves through the sport.
