Declan Rice booked for shouting at the referee in Champions League final

Tonight, Arsenal entered what is possibly the biggest game in the club’s history as major underdogs, with most expecting PSG to emerge victorious. However, after just five minutes, the London side proved they hadn’t just come to take part, with Kai Havertz hitting the back of the net.

Alas, despite a solid effort, they couldn’t maintain their lead, with Ousmane Dembele converting from the spot to level the score.

With the game balanced on a knife-edge, the sides couldn’t be separated after 90 minutes, resulting in extra time.

In a moment of madness, Nuno Mendes and Noni Madueke linked arms inside the box, with both athletes falling towards the floor.

Of course, Arsenal were quick to shout for a penalty, with the players showing little restraint in letting the referee know their opinions.

However, despite the noise coming in his direction, the official decided not to give the spot-kick, which enraged Declan Rice, who couldn’t contain his emotions.

He began screaming at the referee and gesticulating wildly, resulting in the midfielder receiving a booking.

Now, with the match about to go to penalties, it appears Arsenal really could’ve done with that penalty.
