Erling Haaland displays ridiculous charisma hyping up fans during Super Cup

Erling Haaland showed incredible charisma when he hyped up the crowd during Borussia Dortmund‘s Super Cup clash with Bayern Munich yesterday.

Dortmund eventually lost 3-1 in the annual contest, held between the winner of the Bundesliga and the winner of the DFB-Pokal.

Robert Lewandowski opened the scoring for Bayern in the first half, before Thomas Muller added a second shortly after the break.

Dortmund captain Marco Reus then pulled one back on 64 minutes. Lewandowski wrapped up the victory with his second goal of the evening 10 minutes later.

But one of the most notable moments of the match came shortly after Reus’s goal to give Dortmund hope of pulling off a comeback.

The camera panned to Haaland, who could be seen fiercely trying to ramp up the crowd noise.

Mouthing “come on!” to the ‘Yellow Wall’ at the Signal Iduna Park, the Norwegian whipped his hands up in the air in an attempt to increase the volume.

The 21-year-old went into the final having directly contributed to each of Dortmund’s five goals in their 5-2 Bundesliga win over Frankfurt.

He scored twice and added a further three assists in the opening league game of the season.

Prior to that, he also netted a hat-trick in Dortmund’s 3-0 win over Wehen in the DFB-Pokal.

But whilst Haaland couldn’t quite inspire a comeback for his side in the Super Cup, his actions certainly didn’t go unnoticed.

Here’s what fans had to say on Twitter:

Dortmund are next in action on Saturday, when they travel to Freiburg in the Bundesliga.
