After landing a devastating right hand on Paul Smith at Oktagon 48, Jake Quickenden has set his sights on KSI.
Following several months of training, showcased in the popular series, ‘Stage to the Cage’, the reality star turned up under the lights and didn’t disappoint. Putting his money where his mouth is, he walked the walk and talked the talk, dispatching of his opponent inside the opening round.
Having excelled in his training, the former Dancing on Ice champion exhibited fighting prowess on a parallel to his figure skating skills, successfully defending a takedown before landing a series of spiteful shots that sent his opponent tumbling towards the canvas.

But while he got the win at the AO Arena in Manchester, his itch to compete is still left unscratched. Therefore, with a burning desire to see just how far he can go, in the post-fight press conference, he called out KSI to leave the boxing behind and face him in the cage.
Jake Quickenden would love to fight KSI
Referring to the Misfits fighters, he told Sporf: “They get in the ring, that’s good. But they don’t do the weight cut and learn five different skills. We did. Yeh, bring them over to Oktagon, get one of those in here.”
After being asked specifically whether he’d take on ‘The Nightmare, ‘ he replied in the affirmative, before he was interrupted by Smith.
The comic asserted: “He’d f**ing smash KSI.”
The audience burst out laughing, before Quickenden replied: “I f***ing love you, Paul Smith.”
The interaction between the pair not only revealed who the Liverpudlian thinks would win a potential bout, but also something much more important. With their fight now over, Smith and Quickenden can develop a friendship forged in the fire of mixed martial arts.
