When asked, during an exclusive interview with Sporf, whether he will battle it out with his old nemesis once again, the warrior replied: “Possibly. I know he came to the show in Manchester recently, and we had a chat for the first time since we fought. It was the anniversary of our fight. I asked him about the bare-knuckle, and he seems interested. I didn’t ask him whether he wanted to fight me, mind. But he did seem interested in fighting himself.”

Lee Selby had a ‘surreal’ experience on his trip to train at The Mayweather gym

In 2012, Selby received the opportunity to fly out to Las Vegas, Nevada, USA, to train in the same gym as Floyd Mayweather ahead of the superstar’s showdown with Miguel Cotto.

The 39-year-old reminisced: “That was amazing. My career-long manager, Chris Sanigar, he was great friends with Cornelius Boza-Edwards, who was WBC champion, and he ran The Mayweather Gym. We got to be around Floyd, watching him train. It’s funny, the first time we went to Las Vegas, we landed at the airport, went to the hotel, and then Roger Mayweather and Cornelius Boza-Edwards picked us up. It was a surreal moment, being picked up by two former champions, chatting away like it was nothing. It was a great experience.”
